Let’s get creative! More than an art class, it’s a full-on experience in making, exploring, and showcasing your talent. From crochet to cameras, paint to power tools, we’ve got it all!

Curated and led by Isha Ma’at, owner of Make Manifest, along with guest teaching artists from various disciplines.

This 2-week session offers a unique opportunity for young artists to explore multiple art forms, work on exciting projects, and share their creations in a final showcase and youth market.

Meet the Teaching Artists!

Isha Maat

I’m Isha, owner and curator of Make Manifest, a creative hub in Brooklyn that integrates a culture shop, vegan café, and community space. I’m passionate about creation in all its forms and love holding space for community, highlighting both in-house culturally relevant goods and the work of independent brands locally and internationally.

I’ve been a full-time creative entrepreneur since 2010, and long before that, in spirit. I’m dedicated to building spaces where artistry, culture, and connection can thrive here at Make Manifest and beyond!

Anthony Ogunlanoh

Anthony is a designer, textile artist, and the creative director behind Muddaland, one of the in-house brands at MakeManifest. He’s been building his brand for ten years and sewing for over seven, working on everything from custom looks for Fashion Week and the Met Gala to collaborations with brands like Adidas.

For the past four years, Anthony has been teaching both youth and adults how to sew and bring their creative ideas to life. His classes help kids gain confidence, focus, and a real sense of pride in what they make, empowering the next generation through hands-on creativity and self-expression.

Quinnette

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Quinnette understood she could make music a life at the age of 14 by collecting records; her journey began growing up in the south, where music was cherished by feeling, & was not confined to any era or time. She is an audio engineer and editor. Shade 45, Sways Universe, featured a mix of hers. Adept at spinning vinyl and grooving with Serato: there is no limit to genre, as her unique mixes inspire soulfulness all around.. As an educator, she uses music and technology to empower youth, teaching DJ skills and mentoring young children to encourage their dreams.

Robert Provilus

Robert is an artist from Brooklyn, New York, and a graduate of Binghamton University, where he created an independent major called Medical Arts—a blend of science and visual art. His paintings center black people across New York, Ayiti, and the wider diaspora, speaking directly to the rising generation of black dreamers and visionaries. His work challenges stereotypes while honoring the beauty, complexity, and spirit of black life. Through vibrant depictions of black people, Robert's work serves to channel the attitude, culture, and revolutionary spirit of his community.

Imelda Bell

Imelda is a practicing herbalist and forager whose work is rooted in memory, land, and lineage. She carries the teachings of her great-grandmother Akita, a gentle healer who cared for her family and community with the plants that grew around her in Sierra Leone. Through her practice,  Imelda honors this legacy inviting others to remember their own connection to the earth, to the plants, and to the quiet wisdom that lives in our roots.

Taiye Godbody

Taiye is a photographer of rare depth and intercultural literacy. His cosmopolitan upbringing across various locales imbues his perspective with a rich intercultural fluency alongside a multifaceted sight to unite diasporic vistas in his work.

Ngozi Christine

Ngozi is a Brooklyn-based hair and makeup artist, originally from Nigeria and raised in Texas. After moving to New York to follow her creative passions, she discovered a love for crochet that quickly became one of her favorite artistic outlets.

She enjoys making plushies, purses, and colorful accessories and finds crochet to be a calming way to slow down and create something beautiful. Ngozi is excited to share her skills and creative spirit with others

OlaDapo Davinci

OlaDapo, known as DapoDavinci, is a contemporary artist and designer born in Lagos, Nigeria, and based in New York. His work blends respect for history, ancestral knowledge, and pop culture, drawing inspiration from comic books, 90s culture, cars, technology, architecture, music, his Yoruba heritage, and African art and history.

Dapo’s art reflects his African identity and his belief that creativity can inspire change, tell stories, and generate positivity. Through fine art, design, and fashion—including his brand “HandMade”—he reimagines historical references in fresh, contemporary ways.

Nneoma Angel

Angel is the founder and artist behind Angel’s Jewelry, based in Brooklyn, NY. Her work spans modeling, jewelry design, and creative production, reflecting a deep passion for artistry and self-expression.

Angel’s Jewelry bridges Nigerian heritage with modern elegance. Inspired by the vibrant styles of her mother and grandmother, she curates unique, handcrafted pieces sourced from Lagos, Nigeria, and New York. More than accessories, each design tells a story, celebrating culture, individuality, and artistry

Assane Sy

Originally from Northern Senegal, Assane is a Brooklyn-based photographer working in portraiture, fine art, fashion, and documentary. Drawing on both local and international influences, his work explores identity and offers fresh perspectives on cultural plurality.

His photography has been featured at the Brooklyn Museum, Africa Center, ICP, Soho Photo Gallery, PhotoVille, Der Greif, Vogue, RFI, WSJ, and NYFA.

Assane’s clients include the African Film Festival, Africa Center, Brooklyn Brewery, FIT, Savant Studios, and Art Comes First.
